The Brief
DRUID’s Founder and US-based VP of Sales partnered with Dataworks to hire founding Strategic Account Executives and a BDR for a newly launched Financial Services, Retail, and Higher-Ed vertical.
Clear brief: three East Coast reps, one in Austin, plus a Sales Engineer (FDE) based anywhere in the U.S.
All candidates were required to have proven experience selling b2b AI or SaaS solutions, with a strong track record of full-cycle, new-logo hunting, and selling complex AI offerings to senior decision-makers.
The Roles
4 x AEs with SaaS and AI sales experience, plus a Sales Engineer with hands-on ML/AI engineering experience.
Each sales hire needed strong technical depth and a proven ability to build new revenue streams in fast-paced startup environments.
They were comfortable with long sales cycles, no inbound motion, and selling to multiple senior stakeholders across large organisations.
