About Inarix

Launched in 2018, Inarix allows users to take a picture of their crops via their smartphone and get real-time crop qualification results. Users can then use these results to make informed decisions about the value of crops they have on their hands. By using artificial intelligence to conduct this crop analysis, Inarix empowers its user with a multicriteria measurement solution, replacing time-consuming action from several machines with just one fast smartphone.

Following the announcement of their €3.1M seed round, Inarix was tasked with scaling its technological platform to include a new host of crops, nearly doubling their crop analysis capabilities, and further grow its team, paving the way for expansion into new markets, including the United States.

Why Dataworks?

Whilst they were already working with a couple of external recruitment partners, Inarix recognized Dataworks’ expertise is finding niche Data & Tech talents and was open to challenge their current recruitment strategy.

The Roles

With a solid core team of 20 employees in place at Inarix at the start of the searches, each new hire was to be carefully hand-picked and would meet everyone in the Data & Tech team before being selected.

Inarix and Dataworks launched a partnership with a mandate of finding an experienced Data Engineer to join their founding Lead Data Engineer. On top of highly specific technical requirements (GCP and AWS expertise, Airflow, Python, SQL), the ideal candidate needed to thrive in an early stage fast-growing start-up.

Subsequently, Inarix entrusted Dataworks with finding them an AI Data Analyst, or in other words a Data Scientist with strong statistical skills.

Finding the Candidates

By being deeply immersed in the start-up ecosystem for the last 10 years, Dataworks first leveraged its existing network of active candidates. Most of the profiles submitted to Inarix were candidates that already had ties with Dataworks through previous conversations or events. On top of that, Dataworks launched a marketing campaign with adverts placed on all the relevant specialist job platforms alongside a proactive headhunting approach targeting specialist talent working in other AgriTech start-ups.

The Process

Inarix does not yet have a Talent Acquisition team in place and we were tasked with managing the process directly with the hiring managers.  We organized all the interviews, feedback loops, and technical assignments in conjunction with their internal HR contact and hiring manager.  We provided provide regular search updates, as well as detailed competitor analysis, candidate skill availability, salary benchmarking, as well as general feedback on the Inarix brand.
