About JOW

Jow is a Paris-based startup that’s been shaking up how people plan meals and shop for groceries since 2018.

With over 7 million users and more than 150 million meals made through the app, they’re making daily cooking easier for everyone. After raising $20 million in Series A funding in 2021 (led by Eurazeo), and an additional $13 million in 2024 (led by Northzone), Jow set its sights on expanding into the U.S.

The Challenge

As Jow continued to grow fast and leaned even more into data, they needed to strengthen their data team with two key hires in the same year: a Senior Data Engineer and a Senior Data Scientist. Since they didn’t have a specialized internal recruitment team for these kinds of roles, they teamed up with Dataworks to help find the right people.

The Roles

  • Senior Data Engineer: Focused on building and optimizing data pipelines, keeping data reliable, and making sure the platform could scale smoothly.
  • Senior Data Scientist: Tasked with creating predictive models, analyzing how users behave, and uncovering insights to improve both the user experience and internal operations.
